About the Pre-Med Program

The Pre-Med Program at DMSF helps students build a strong academic foundation before entering the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. Officially called the BS course in the Philippines system, it is a structured 12-month foundation phase that bridges high school (12th PCB) and the rigour of medical college.

The program focuses on subjects that prepare students for advanced medical studies and clinical learning.

Why the Pre-Med Year Matters

Indian 12th PCB students sometimes ask: "My biology is already strong. Why do I need a pre-med year?" The honest answer: medical college is a steep jump. The pre-med year gives you time to adjust to the Philippines climate, the English-medium teaching style, the American-pattern curriculum, and the academic discipline required for the next 4.5 years of MD. Skipping this would set students up for failure in MD Year 1.

Pre-Med Fee Structure

Total Pre-Med cost: ₹10,40,000 (all-inclusive). This covers enrolment, two semesters of tuition, visa and flight, and textbooks.

• Enrolment Fee (one-time): ₹2,50,000
• Tuition Semester 1: ₹3,00,000
• Tuition Semester 2: ₹3,00,000
• Visa + Documents + Flight: ₹1,50,000
• Book Fee: ₹40,000
