Everything Indian students must know about DMSF and NMC eligibility for MBBS in Philippines.
DMSF follows the standards required by NMC for Indian students. To practice in India after MBBS at DMSF, students must meet current NMC criteria: NEET qualification, 54+ months course duration, internship in Philippines, English medium, and clear FMGE/NExT.
The most important thing to understand: NMC (National Medical Commission) does NOT publish a list of "approved foreign medical colleges." Instead, NMC sets eligibility criteria that the foreign medical college and the Indian student must meet.
So the right question isn't "Is DMSF on the NMC approved list?" โ it's "Does DMSF meet the NMC eligibility criteria for Indian students?" The answer, based on current rules, is yes โ but always verify the latest official NMC notification before applying.
The Indian student must meet ALL of these to be eligible to practice in India after foreign MBBS:
Even after meeting all NMC criteria during MBBS, Indian students MUST clear FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) or NExT (National Exit Test) to practice in India. This applies to graduates of every foreign medical college, including DMSF.
DMSF alumni have successfully cleared FMGE โ for example, Dr. Yubashini, who cleared FMGE in 2023 and now works at Apollo Hospital, Chennai. The strong clinical exposure at DMSF Hospital plus disciplined preparation gives students a strong foundation for the licensing exam.
NMC regulations change every few years. Information here reflects current understanding. Always verify the latest official notification at nmc.org.in before making admission decisions. Our admission team tracks rule changes and will guide you during free counseling.
